Countdown Timer Gadgets in Envision Viewer

An interactive object you can use in Envision documents to count down time from a given start time to zero for events, operations, processes, and so on.
To interact with countdown timer gadgets when viewing Envision documents, you should know the following about them:
Countdown timer gadget UI and behavior
A countdown timer gadget consists of the following interactive UI elements:
Title: a static label that displays the name of the countdown timer gadget.
Counter: a dynamic label that displays the time depending on the current state of the countdown:
The start time when you have not activated or have reset the countdown.
The running countdown time when you activated the countdown.
The paused countdown time when you paused the countdown.
Flashing zeros when the countdown expires.
Start: a button you should click to activate the countdown from the time displayed in the counter to zero. When you click this button:
The countdown is active and running.
The counter displays the running countdown time.
The Pause button replaces the Start button.
Pause: a button you should click to pause the running countdown. When you click this button:
The countdown pauses.
The counter displays the paused countdown time.
The Start button replaces the Pause button.
Reset: a button you should click to stop the running or paused countdown and reset it to the start time. When you click this button:
The countdown stops.
The counter displays the start time.
The Start button replaces the Pause button.
The Reset button is optional. It is absent in the countdown timer gadgets where you are not allowed to reset the countdown. However, you can pause any countdown timer gadget with the Pause button.
You should explicitly activate the time countdown. Countdown timer gadgets do not start automatically.
When the countdown reaches zero:
The countdown expires.
The counter displays flashing zeros.
The Start button replaces the Pause button.
The Start button is disabled. Clicking it does not restart the countdown.
A document can include synchronous and independent countdown timer gadgets. Multiple countdown timer gadgets can be synchronous in the document. When you activate, pause, or reset one of them, you activate, pause, or reset all of them. All the synchronous countdown timer gadgets are in the same countdown state and display the same countdown time when active or paused. On the other hand, one or more countdown timer gadgets in the document can count down time independently.
A document author can rename the countdown timer gadget, set the countdown duration, hide the Reset button, and manage the synchronization.
Countdown timer gadget interaction workflow
To use a countdown timer gadget in the Canvas Envision Viewer:
Click the Start button.
The countdown is running. The Pause button replaces the Start button.
If you need to pause the countdown, click the Pause button. The countdown pauses. The Start button replaces the Pause button.
If the countdown timer gadget has the Reset button and you need to reset the countdown, click this button. The countdown stops and is reset to the start time. The Start button replaces the Pause button.
If you need to restart a paused or reset countdown, click the Start button. The countdown is running. The Pause button replaces the Start button.
When the countdown reaches zero, it expires. The countdown timer gadget counter displays flashing zeros.
